YOU can now save the date for a popular event which packs a village green in Tameside.
With fun for all of the family, the ‘Festival on the Green’ will be returning to Hollingworth this year.
The event on Wedneshough Green will be held on Saturday, May 23.
From 11am to 4.30pm, there will be over 30 stalls on the day – including live music, food and drink, and lots more to see and do. New fun activities, traders and entertainment are planned.
It’s organised by the Friends of Hollingworth group, which puts on regular events to bring people of all ages together from the local community.
Entry is free but donations are welcome, which will go towards the Friends group’s fund towards organising next year’s event.
Last year’s festival proved to be another fantastic occasion, as hundreds of visitors enjoyed an action-packed day – including an RSPCA dog show, classic cars, circus skills, a drum roots workshop, and much more.
