Retro revival takes over Stalybridge’s Civic Hall

PEOPLE were taken back in time and found themselves in a spin as the latest addition to Stalybridge’s calendar proved a hit.

The town’s Civic Hall was transformed into a hub of nostalgia on Sunday, November 2 as visitors flocked to the venue for the launch of a brand-new Vintage and Vinyl Pop-Up Fair, organised by So Retro Events.

The event, which ran from 11am to 4pm, brought together a variety of independent traders who share a passion for sustainability, craftsmanship and all things retro.

Shoppers browsed vintage clothing, accessories, homeware, furniture, collectables and vinyl records.

Among those taking part were Molly’s Cosy Vintage, Emmaus Mossley, Jitterbug by Sally, Vintage and Vinyl Stalybridge and Seventies Soul, each offering their own distinctive selection of pre-loved treasures and timeless finds.

Sally Marsden, entrepreneur at Jitterbug by Sally, shared the significance of shopping second hand.

She said: “‘Markets like this, trading and dealing with old things are getting a second life or even a third life which is all so important.”
