A STALYBRIDGE family has marked a remarkable and heartwarming milestone — five generations gathered together for a special photograph.
The moment brought together seven-week-old baby Nora Elizabeth Grainger, her mum Emily Cassinelli, grandmother Joanne Cassinelli, great-grandmother Valerie Ives, and 105-year-old great-great-grandmother Mollie Birch.
The rare occasion was captured during a recent visit to see Mollie, who resides at Millbrook Care Home on Huddersfield Road.
Local teacher Emily shared her joy, saying: “It was a really lovely moment for us all – we were all very excited. My great grandma told all her friends about how excited she was about meeting Nora.”
The family are all originally from Carrbrook, where Mollie lived, Valerie lives and Emily grew up in the family home.
Very few families get to experience five-generation family photos in today’s world, so this moment will undoubtedly be treasured for generations to come.
