LOCAL services and organisations that people can reach out to for support to keep safe and well will be represented under one roof at a community event.
Tameside Adults Safeguarding Partnership Board (TASPB) will be hosting the event at St Martin’s Church in Droylsden.

Services that will be at the event on Tuesday, June 10, from midday until 2pm will include Tameside adult services and family hubs, Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, Active Tameside, Age UK, and Jigsaw Homes.
The organisations who are part of TASPB are working in partnership to support World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15 – which raises awareness of older adults who experience elder abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation.
“Getting support out into the heart of our communities and raising awareness of elder abuse is vital,” said Councillor John Taylor, Tameside Council’s Executive Member for Adult Social Care.
“Please come along to find out more about support to keep you and your family safe and well by talking to local services and organisations.”
