A COMMUNITY choir in Tameside is preparing to raise the roof once again at their Spring Concert.
Tameside Community Voices is inviting you to be part of the audience and help raise funds for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
The concert is on Saturday, May 17, at Holy Trinity Church in Stalybridge.
It starts at 7pm, with tickets priced at £5 on the door. Under-16s can attend for free, and there will be free refreshments available on the night.
The evening’s programme will feature choir-led performances and solo acts.
The choir has a proud tradition of fundraising through music, having raised over £50,000 for charities including Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation through their popular spring and Christmas concerts.
All proceeds from the upcoming concert will go directly to the charity which supports children and adults living with a vision impairment as well as breed and train guide dogs in the UK.
Formed by Joyce Hansell and Anne Hewitt, Tameside Community Voices welcomes singers of all abilities.
The group meets every Thursday during term time at St George’s Church in Stalybridge. Subs are £2 a week and no auditions are required.
