A MAN has appeared in court charged with wasting police time, after an alleged false report of abduction was made to officers.
Greater Manchester Police arrested a 26-year-old man in Hyde on Sunday, May 4.
The force has now confirmed the suspect has now been charged.
Foyez Miah, of Nelson Street in Hyde, has been charged with causing wasteful employment of police time.
He has appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court and was bailed to next appear on July 31.
