DENTON is officially home to a state-of-the-art dentists’ practice after the doors were opened.
After a £1.6 million investment, mydentist is now operating at the town’s Crownpoint Shopping Park, also known as Crown Point North.
A project lasting just over two years saw all the dentists and staff from the previous Denton and Hyde sites move to the new facility.
Now after practice manager Alison Williams opened it on Tuesday, March 11, 11 surgeries are available, with room to expand to 14 in the future, ran by a team of more than 37 dentists, dental nurses, reception staff, treatment co-ordinators and managers.
More than 14,000 patients will be served by the new site, which offers of a greater range of dental treatments and technology – and NHS dental care is available.
The practice is also accepting new patients under {my}options, mydentist’s affordable private dental scheme.
Lucy Webb, area development manager at mydentist, said: “The move to Crown Point has substantially improved access to our practice, with better transport links and parking options for our patients.
“We’re delighted that through moving to the new site, we’ll be able to take on a limited amount of new NHS patients, with two new dentists set to join the team in the coming months.
“We know that accessing dental care in this region is difficult which is why we’re pleased to be able to offer {my}options, an affordable way to access a dentist when you need one.
“While the NHS availability will be allocated in a staggered approach, it’s fantastic to be able to offer more availability to the community.
