GRIEF has no time limit and, no matter how long it has been since someone has passed away, you may need support or just to talk about your loss.
Tameside Council and Live Great Adventures CIC have teamed up to organise a compassionate and supportive gathering focused on navigating grief and loss.
The event called ‘Never Walk Alone’ – centred on bereavement – is taking place on Friday, November 15, from 11.30am to 7pm at Academy HQ on Grosvenor Street in Stalybridge.
A wide variety of stalls will be present, offering a range of services and activities that are open to people looking to connect, try something new, make friends, access support and reconnect with others.
There will also be guest speakers, the opportunity for open discussions and resources available.
Willow Wood Hospice and Anthony Barton Independent Family Funeral Services are among the organisations who will be represented on the day.
People are advised to register in advance at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/never-walk-alone-bereavement-event-tameside-tickets-999560060047 to secure a place.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
Live Great Adventures CIC is run by husband and wife Liam and Jo Gray, from Carrbrook, following Liam’s own mental health struggles after serving in the Army and to help raise awareness of suicide prevention.
