LOCAL literary talent will be celebrated at a special event at Ashton-under-Lyne Library.
Local Authors Day will be an inspiring showcase of creativity and talent from across the borough and beyond.
Authors from across Tameside, Greater Manchester and surrounding areas will convene for panels, book stalls, signings and more.
It will take place on Saturday, October 26, from 10.30am and 2.30pm at the library in the Tameside One building.
There will be featured talks on Manchester crime, research and realism, getting started as a writer, and folklore and fantasy.
Keith Healicon, from Denton, is one of the local authors who has been invited to be part of the day.
He has released two books – the first of which called Titian Strands was featured by the Correspondent – and has two more in the works.
“I am thrilled to be invited to guest as a new Tameside writer at the event,” said Keith. “I’m positive I will be meeting great writers and visitors, I cannot wait.”
More information about the day will be released in due course but can also be obtained by emailing information.direct@tameside.gov.uk
