Mossley funeral director launches summer daisy hunt for local children

AFTER an Easter Egg Hunt proved popular, a Mossley funeral director has now organised a summer-themed game for local children.

Anthony Barton Independent Family Funeral Service has hidden laminated pictures of daisies all around the town for kids to find.

They will be located on fences, trees and lampposts across Mossley and Carrbrook.

Anyone who returns any of the pictures to the funeral home at 63 Stamford Street will receive a gift.

As a bonus, there will also be four laminated pictures of sunflowers hidden, which – like the golden eggs at Easter – will be harder to locate.

Families who can bring a sunflower picture to the funeral home will win four tickets for a special adventure.

The week-long ‘Mossley’s Day Out Hunt’ will start on Thursday, August 15.

It follows the success of the Easter Egg Hunt that Anthony held earlier this year.

Anthony told The Correspondent: “Parents mentioned that their children loved searching for plastic eggs around the town and exchanging them for Easter eggs.

“With the children on summer break from school, we decided to plan a summer-themed hunt.

“We are excited to see the children’s smiling faces when they visit the funeral home to receive their gifts. We would like to thank Cockfields Farm for the tickets donated towards this event.

“Funeral directors can bring happiness in unexpected ways.”
