CCTV appeal after man sustains broken jaw in unprovoked assault

POLICE are hunting for a man in connection with a serious and unprovoked assault at a pub in Stalybridge.

The male victim was struck in the face and, after receiving treatment the following day, it was confirmed he had a broken jaw.

He had to stay in hospital for a number of days as a precaution.

The incident happened on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 between 9.30pm and 11pm at a
premises on Acres Lane, which hasn’t been named by police.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said it was established that the victim was “approached by the suspect and subsequently attacked for no apparent reason”.

Officers have been conducting enquiries and believe the man pictured could help their
investigation.
