IF you enjoy having a good old sing-along, a musical afternoon is planned in Ashton which is just for you.
It’s World Alzheimer’s Day on Thursday, September 21, so a charity event called ‘Musical Memories’ has been organised by local fundraiser Angie Wild to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
It runs from 2pm to 4.30pm at the Albion Church on Stamford Street East.
The event will bring choirs together of people living with dementia, carers and supporters – namely Rock Choir, School Choir and Tameside Community Voices.
Tickets are £5, with tea or coffee and biscuits included, and can be bought from Albion Church or the Seraphina Centre on Stamford Street Central.
