A MAN will stand trial in November charged with the murder of a woman in Dukinfield.
Alexis Karran died on November 6 at Salford Royal Hospital following an alleged incident at her home on Winchester Road.
And Daniel Mitchell has appeared at Manchester Crown Court in court accused of the 49-year-old’s murder.
The 48-year-old illustrator was asked not to enter a plea as he faced Judge Nicholas Dean KC via video link for a preliminary hearing on Thursday, May 18).
And while a trial date was set for November, the next hearing will be in July.
In a tribute released through Greater Manchester Police following her death, Ms Karran’s family said: “Alexis is a very caring person; she shows kindness to all she meets – to all friends and strangers.
“She has always been the best role model for how to live life, that her brother constantly aspired to match.
“She is forever in our hearts – we will always be waiting to say hello.”
