FROM outfits to games and activities, donkeys were the theme for a charity fundraising day at St Christopher’s RC Primary School in Ashton-Under-Lyne.
The school’s nursery and reception children took part in the ‘Donkey Day’ and raised £850 for The Donkey Sanctuary in Abbey Hey, which works to transform the lives of the animals across the world.
Everyone dressed in grey or brown for the day and made donkey ears then completed a sponsored obstacle course. They also played pin the tail on the donkey and made split pin donkeys.
After school there was a cake and book sale and also guess the name of the donkey teddy.
