Emmaus Trustee Richard Darlington had the idea of establishing a Heritage Centre to celebrate Mossley’s industrial history two decades ago.

Civic Society members (led by Marie Clues) and volunteers became the ‘guardians’ of the space which now includes a kitchen, laundry and living area as well as a school section.

Visitors have donated many interesting artefacts over the years and the centre has a wealth of information which celebrates Mossley’s fascinating heritage.

Terry will join Civic Society members and Mossley Morris Men to remember the beginnings of the Centre, celebrate the hard work of Richard Darlington and Marie Clues and reflect on the many achievements of the last two decades.
