MOSSLEY Juniors Under-16s won promotion after being crowned East Manchester Junior Football League, division one champions for a memorable 2020-21 season in which they were unbeaten.
Juniors also fielded an U16s team in the North Bury League and enjoyed further success reaching their cup final.
And they are ready to embark on their U17s championship campaign in the EMJFL with manager Stuart Newton still at the helm.
They also go into the new campaign with six of the youngsters having trained with Mossley’s first team pre-season.
And Finlay Lee, the U17s captain, Joe Winterbottom, Sam Muskett and Jaymi Lawson all got to play in the friendly at Cheadle Heath Nomads.
First-team manager David Fish is to monitor the progress of the youngsters and hopes to involve some of the U17s in the first team in the forthcoming season.
