Home learning for academy students

MOSSLEY academy students are learning online from home with their north west division campaign in the Education and Semi-Pro Football Academy League mothballed because of Covid-19.

The Lilywhites, however, managed to play two matches in December before the latest lockdown was imposed.

They drew 2-2 at Runcorn Linnets where they were 2-0 ahead at the break through two goals from Tcherno Djalo, a penalty followed by a fine individual effort.

Then in their first home game of the season they beat Brighouse Town 2-1. After falling behind early on, Mossley hit back with a brace from Marco Nwawau.

Mossley are unbeaten in their four league games – two wins and two draws – as they top the table.

They said when the restrictions are lifted they will hopefully be able to pick up where they left off and keep their unbeaten run going and get a top three finish to qualify for the national play off with their counterparts from the midlands and southern divisions.
