DONATIONS, volunteers and bakers are being sought for a Denton-based dogs charity’s Christmas fair.Dogs Trust Manchester throws open the doors to its centre on Parkway, near Sainsbury’s supermarket, on Sunday, December 1.
At the event, which runs from 10am-4pm, visitors and their four-legged friends will be able to have their picture taken with Santa Paws.
There will also be gift and craft stalls as well as cake stalls and games. The fair will also have a fun, indoor mini obstacle course for dogs and their owners to test their agility skills.
However, staff are on the lookout for donations of chocolate and other sweet treats along with bottles for its treats tombola, gifts such as toiletries and trinkets for its traditional tombola and they are appealing for dog-loving bakers to make a cake or two for the ever popular café.
Nicola Hardman, supporter relations officer at Dogs Trust Manchester, said: “The Christmas Fair is one of our main fundraising events of the year and it’s always a great day for everyone.
“Every penny raised makes sure we can give our dogs everything they need throughout the year, not just at Christmas, whilst they wait for their forever homes.”
Entry and parking for the fair are free. If you are able to help, please send or drop off any donations to Dogs Trust Manchester, Parkway, Denton M34 3SG.
