IRON Man visited the children’s ward at Tameside Hospital to surprise the children, their parents, carers and the staff.
He spent a morning in the Trust playing with the children and posing for photos.
The visit was arranged by a local parent Chris Brooks who wanted to give something back to the hospital following the ongoing care that his daughter Maisie has received at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care National Health Service Foundation Trust.
Chris, who runs an events company and donned the Iron Man costume for the visit, said, “I wanted to give something back to Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT, my daughter Maisie is on the mend now and it is all thanks to the staff at Tameside.”
Iron Man even managed to make one boy on the ward well enough to go home. The boy stopped Iron Man in the corridor to tell him: “Thank you Iron Man, you’ve made me better!”
Chris is planning on coming to visit the children’s ward again later in the year.
